India’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki will stop the LPG models and will roll out CNG variants of the entire range of its cars from early 2010, because customers prefer CNG cars.
The company would start introducing ‘cleaner-fuel’ cars once the distribution network of CNG improves across the country. The company wants to first ensure that CNG is available all over the country and it does not want its customers waiting in long queues for filling CNG.
According to sources, the first car with CNG would be Alto, the most popular model from the Maruti Suzuki stable. Soon the CNG variant of all other models will be available.
