Krishnavamsi To Direct Balayya’s 100th Film
Telugu film lovers are eagerly awaiting for Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s 150th film. Though Chiru played hide and seek for some time, he cleared a story and chose VV Vinayak as the director for his prestigious movie and the film is most likely to go to sets in April this year, i.e., after the marriage of Chiranjeevi’s daughter Srija. So, the audiences got clarity and are now waiting for the launch of the film. In the meantime, Nandamuri Balakrishna had completed the 99 films mark and is getting ready for the 100th film, which is obviously the most sought after movie for Telugu film fans. There were lot of speculations on who would direct the prestigious movie. Balakrishna had patiently gave a listening to many stories from different directors and finally okayed the story narrated by Krishnavamsi and reportedly gave a green signal to him. So the director is busy in the pre-production works of that movie. Krishnavamsi had reportedly kept aside a horror film titled ‘Rudraksha’, which is presently on sets, for the sake of Balakrishna’s movie. According to sources, Krishnavamsi narrated him a story, where a farmer turns a leader to strive for the people. As Balakrishna turned a politician by winning the MLA seat from Hindupur, he might have thought that the film would help him in his political career too, he gave a nod for the subject. Several titles have come up for consideration and finally two titles were chosen. They are ‘Rythu’ or ‘Rythu Rajyam’ and one among them would be finalised, which will be announced officially. Balakrishna will appear as a farmer in traditional attire, the power and elegance of a common Telugu farmer.
