India beat England in the rain-curtailed 22 overs each day and night 4th ODI at Banguluru on Sunday by 19 runs through the Duckworth-Lewis method. India scored 166 for 4 wickets, while England needing to score 198 under D/L system managed 178 for 8.
India thus clinched the Hero Honda seven-match ODI cricket series against England wiyh an unassailable 4-0 lead.
Put into bat in India’s 700th ODI, Virender Sehwag (69), Gautam Gambhir (40) and Yuvraj Singh (25 not out) helped India to reach 166 for 4.
For England, Owais Shah (72) and Andrew Flintoff (41) tried their best but with wickets falling at regular intervals it was an uphill task for them.
