India’s first Aerospace SEZ in AP

Tata Advance System , a Tata group company is setting up a manufacturing facility for  high-end aerospace and precision engineering system at the country’s first Aerospace and Precision Engineering SEZ at Adhibatla village in Ibrahimpatnam mandal of Ranga Reddy district in Andhra Pradesh.

Tata Advance System Ltd., in close association with DRDL, DRDO, RCI, DLRL, BDL and BHEL sought 50 acres of land to set up their production unit to manufacture aerospace and precision engineering system with an investment of Rs. 500 crore in a phased manner.

Samooha, local manufacturers’ consortium of 40 companies led by MTAR, which supplies equipment to aerospace companies sought 100 acres in the SEZ.

The 250-acre Aerospace SEZ may be named after JRD Tata, father of Indian aviation industry.
