The Integrated Common Entrance Test (I-CET 2009) will be held on May 9 from 10 am to 12.30 pm for admission into MBA/MCA. Around 90,000 seats would be filled in colleges across the state based on I-CET rankings.
The last date for submission of filled-in applications, with a fine of Rs 2,000, is April 17. Over 2,10,000 students have applied for I-CET 2009 so far.
To prevent malpractice, including impersonation, hall tickets of aspirants of I-CET 2009 will have identification marks incorporated on it. In the previous years, many students were caught impersonating others for I-CET. More than 50 cases were registered in the past two years.
The officials would include Intelligent Character Recognition (ICR) and Optical Mark Reader (OMR) sheets from this year to prevent any mistakes in details of students. The sheets would have details of the student, including name, father’s name and annual income. It would be replicated in the I-CET rank card.
There would, however, be no change in the question paper pattern for the I-CET examination.
