The Film
The film gives the feeling that a great effort has gone into putting in sequence a series of finely choreographed songs and smartly composed fights, with nothing new to offer from the point of the storyline. The hero is cast in a double role, which makes the entire film focused on Kalyan Ram.

The Synopsis
Hari (Kalyanram) and Ram (Kalyanram) are brothers with totally different attitudes and outlooks.
Their father (Chandramohan) likes Hari and Ram is taken away by his mother (Sita) When Hari’s father dies in his childhood, his uncle and aunt (Chalapati Rao and Sudha) bring him up and he grows upto become an IPS officer. Ram has to struggle to survive through the meager earnings of his mother.

The Performances
Kalyanram has the opportunity to act in two different roles and had the ample scope to show all his acting talents. His performance is good. Priyamani acted with restraint. Sindhu Tulani is adequate.
Chandramohan, Kota, Chalapathi Rao and Rajeev Kanakala have given convincing portrayals. Brahmanandam and Raghubabu succeed in making the audience laugh.

The Techiniques
The screenplay is gripping and in tune with a suspense thriller. The fight sequences have been composed well by Selva and Ram-Lakshman. Music by Mickey J Meyer is not a rage, but slightly above average. Camera work by C Ramprasad and editing by Gauthamraju are effective. The production values are high.

The Verdict
Like any mass masala film full of songs and fights plus the element of suspense thrown in, Hare Ram, a high production values movie, can be seen once.

The Rating
2.75 out of 5
