There was furore in the AP assembly yesterday during the discussion on the Satyam scam. There had been allegations and counter allegations.
TDP chief N Chandra Babu claimed that Satyam’s Ramalinga Raju laundered money to facilitate YS Jaganmohan Reddy, son of YS Rajasekhar Reddy, Chief Minister, to float umpteen companies including a daily paper.
The Congress alleged that the educational expenses of N Lokesh Babu, son of N Chandra Babu Naidu, had been paid for by Satyam Raju in addition to computerizing TDP office and paying liberal donations to NTR Trust.
Those who followed the proceedings in the assembly aver that Satyam Raju seemed to have bought every conceivable political party as a prelude to his planned loot of public money through his 340-odd companies.
Praja Rajyam Party president Chiranjeevi demanded a judicial enquiry by a sitting judge of the Supreme Court on the Satyam fraud,. He alleged that several top leaders of both the Congress and the TDP are involved in the scam.
Meanwhile, YS Rajaselhar Reddy wrote to the Prime Minister to hand over the investigation into Satyam to the CBI.
