Sachin Tendulkar 1st to score 200 in ODIs
Sachin Tendulkar became the first batsman to cross the 200-run mark in an one-day international at Captain Roop Singh Stadium in Gwalior on Wednesday in the second ODI against South Africa. Sachin’s 200 not out came off 147 balls, which include 25 fours and 3 sixes which recorded his 46th century in ODIs.
He overtook the previous highest individual score made by Pakistan’s Saeed Anwar (194 against India in 1997) and Charles Coventry of Zimbabwe (194 not out against Bangladesh in 2009).
India won the toss and elected to bat and made 401 for the loss of 3 wickets in the allotted 50 overs.
