Ramalinga Raju gets bail
The main accused in Satyam Computers corporate scam B Ramalinga Raju was granted bail by Andhra Pradesh High Court on Wednesday. The bail was granted to Raju on health grounds and he should not be discharged from the hospital.
Raju has been hospitalized at NIMS for treatment of Hepatitis C and other ailments since September 2009.
Raju has been given bail on the condition that he will remain in Hyderabad till further orders and will have to give two securities of Rs 20 lakh each.
The CBI has been alleging that doctors have been prolonging treatment of the Raju only to delay the trial in the case.
Raju faces up to 10 years imprisonment along with a fine, which may extend to Rs 25 crore in the financial fraud of Rs 14,000 crore.
Raju, allegedly enjoying five star facilities in NIMS, Hyderabad.
