The strategy of CM KCR to depute Minister KT Rama Rao as the party’s GHMC election in-charge seems to have paid handsome rewards to the ruling party.
Over the past two years, KTR became a darling of the IT industry through his clear vision and articulation. With a strategically crafted GHMC campaign, the young leader has now catapulted himself as the mascot for Brand Hyderabad.
From Page 3 celebrities to techies in IT corridor, from auto wallahs on street to traders, from engineering students to home makers, KTR seems to have captured the imagination of every Hyderabadi. KTR has become very popular among the non-telugu Hyderabadis, due to his professional attitude and also his ability to articulate clearly in both English and Urdu.
The latest exit poll conducted by VDP Associates also confirms that it was KTR, who influenced a whopping 29% of neutral voters in GHMC elections.
This is a huge number considering the fact that Chandra Babu Naidu stands a distant third, being able to influence only 11% of neutral voters and his son Lokesh a poor fourth with just 3%.
All the exit polls predict a huge win for TRS party. If TRS manages to secure absolute majority, then it will create history as the first political party to do so after formation of GHMC.
Compare this with 2009, when TRS was not even in a position to contest the GHMC elections.
And one leader who has to be credited for this massive turnaround is KTR.
