Luck shines only once and it asks you to make a choice. One is a one-lakh plus rupees salaried job in popular social networking site FACEBOOK and other is a lead actress in a Telugu film. Accidentally I became a model when I’m 10 years old for ‘Annapurna Iodised Salt’ advertisement. Whether it is that influence or so, I’m more inclined towards an acting career, says an excited Nikitha.

I’m crowned as ‘Miss Fresh Face of Hyderabad’ in 2009, followed by a runner-up at ‘Miss South India’. Though I pursued a degree in Business Management and got a tempting offer from Facebook, my interests vested with acting career only. After getting selected for the Star-Hunt and finalized as a lead of ‘It’s My Love Story’ amidst hundreds of aspirants, my confidence bundled.

During shooting days, my thoughts used to haunt me whether I had done a mistake saying ‘No’ to a Facebook job. After the film’s release, the appreciation I got from critics for the role of ‘Vandana’ I had played, I felt very happy. Other than receiving compliments, friends and relatives started calling me with my screen name ‘Vandana’, adding stars to my happiness. All this credit goes to director Madhura Sreedhar for offering me a performance oriented role in my first flick. He is very warm, humble and very encouraging.

Though a couple of projects are in discussion already, I’m a bit choosy about my roles. Though I’m ready to play traditional girl-next-door roles or ultra-glam characters, story matters to me a lot.
