eMail warns of threat to Hyderabad After the bomb blasts in Bangalore and Ahmedabad, an eMail sent to the Hyderabad City Police purportedly by Indian Mujahideen warned of retaliatory strikes against Hyderabad and Madhya Pradesh.

The eMail asks the police to release all those detained by police, who were allegedly connected with earlier bombings. The message also mentions specific strikes against the police force in both the states.

Meanwhile, police discovered live bombs in Ahmedabad and defused them. Two cars with bomb material were also seized. The police state that the bombs that went off in Ahmedabad on Saturday were similar to those that blasted at Gokul Chat and Lumbini Park in Hyderabad last year. The blasts carried the SIMI- HuJi imprint, according to the police.

The death toll in Ahmedabad blasts rose to 49. The police are also probing the possible connection between terrorists and naxalites. Police in all the threat perceived states are on high alert.
