On Sunday, the Telugu daily newspaper Surya celebrated its first anniversary at Ravindra Bharathi in Hyderabad. The dais was shared by Chiranjeevi, Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy and Nara Chandrababu Naidu. This combination of leading politicians of the state drew lot of interest from the audience, though they did not interact with each other.
In a way, it could be a victory for Chiranjeevi’s Praja Rajyam Party policies, as YSR and Naidu talked about social justice, an issue first raised by PRP and included in its manifesto.
The other prominent politicians sharing the dais were Janata Dal (U) president Sharad Yadav, Lok Satta Party president N. Jayaprakash Narayan, Nava Telangana Party president T. Devender Goud, former BJP national president Bangaru Laxman, V. Hanumantha Rao, MP, Mala Mahanadu chief J. Prabhakar Rao and AP BC Welfare Association president R. Krishnaiah and Editor of Surya daily Nookarapu Suryaprakash Rao.
