Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, Andhra Pradesh Circle, has announced the launch of web conferencing service, a ‘desktop-based’ initiative, for its broadband subscribers in the State. The multi-point and multimedia services will enable audio, video and data transfer facilities to the subscribers and has several features incorporated into it.
The key features of the new service, developed in association with Communication Experts Private Limited (CEPL), include ‘persistent room’, a facility that simulates physical room environment, power point sharing wherein multiple users can view and download power point presentations and upload their information for others to use besides regular features like chatting.
The customers can subscribe to the service that will require a BSNL broadband connection with speed of 256 kbps and above, desktop with Pentium IV or processor with equivalent capacity, standard 300/500k web camera and headset with microphone.
Applications could be downloaded from the BSNL website and customers could activate their account by clicking the link provided by the service provider through an e-mail.
