There are indications that YS Jaganmohan Reddy is getting ready to float his own political party. He may also split the Congress legislative party which has 156 MLAs.
Jagan’s supporters claim that at least 4 members of Lok Sabha, 36 MLAs and 6 members of Legislative Council are behind him. Though Jagan gave a call that MLAs who support him should not submit their resignations. But it is widely believed they would resign after the swearing in ceremony of the new cabinet.
If 36 MLAs resign, Congress party loses majority in the Legislative assembly and the options would be President’s Rule and mid-term elections.
Political analysts are waiting with bated breath to see how this crisis will evolve or solved.
