Praja Rajyam and Lok Satta get common symbols
The Supreme Court of India gave a directive to the Election Commission to allot common symbols to Praja Rajyam Party, Lok Satta Party and the Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam making it clear that this order was only an
interimarrangement for the ensuing general elections.
Chranjeevi’s PRP got the symbol of Rail Engine, Jaya Prakash Narayan’s LSP the whistle and Vijayakanth’s DMDK the Nagara or the Drum.
Thus, in Andhra Pradesh, in addition to Congress, TDP, TRS, CPI, CPM, BJP and BSP, PRP and LSP will also fight the elections on a common symbol of the party.
