AICC general secretary M. Veerappa Moily has said that there is no possibility of introduction of a Bill on statehood for Telangana in Parliament as there is no political consensus on the issue.

Reacting to Moily’s T-statement, senior Congress leaders from Telangana hurriedly assembled at the residence of CWC member G. Venkataswamy.

Former APCC president K. Keshav Rao, V. Hanumanth Rao, MP, K. R. Amos, B. Kamalakar Rao, K. Yadava Reddy, MLCs, and former chairman of the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh Sridhar Reddy discussed the implications. Some leaders also discussed the issue with Union Minister S. Jaipal Reddy. Later Venkataswamy and Keshav Rao left for New Delhi to meet the party high command.
