Case against KCR for provocative speeches

The police have suo motu booked cases against Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS) chief K Chandrasekhar Rao for calling on Telangana people to attack houses of ministers and MPs who refuse to resign to further the cause of a separate Telangana state.

The police have registered the case against KCR under section 153 (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, etc, and doing acts prejudicial to maintenance of harmony) of the Indian Penal Code

Cases were also booked against Telangana employees’ Joint Action Committee (JAC) leaders Swami Goud and Vithal for making provocative speeches under the provisions of Police Forces Act, 1966.
