Everyone knows how the living legend of Indian cinema Amitabh Bachchan looks like with his standard goatee. In director R. Balki’s film “Paa”, Big B will be seen in an entirely different get up. He plays a 12 year old son Auro of Abhishek Bachchan and Vidya Balan and suffering from a rare disorder called progeria which makes the child age very fast, making a 12-year-old look like a 70 year old.

The entire prosthetic look has been done by International prosthetic artiste Stephan Dupuis who is known for his work on Robin Williams’ prosthetics in the Hollywood film “Mrs Doubtfire” and won the Oscar for “Lord Of The Rings”.

Amitab’s prosthetic face was made up of eight different pieces of clay, joined by a hi-tech spray for a cohesive look. Dupuis would place different pieces of clay consisting of a nose, ears, forehead, lips, cheeks, chin on the contours of Big B’s face and then get it glued together. The Big B also used specially-designed dentures in order to modulate his voice to make it sound like that of a child.

In “Paa” we see a Big B playing a challenging emotional role. The film is releasing on November 13.
