Balakrishna’s 100th Film Go To Sets Today Formally
Nandamuri Balakrishna’s prestigious 100th film is going to sets on Friday and the formal launch of the film will take place at Annapurna Studios amidst several film and political personalities. Balakrishna himself personally handed over the invitation to Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. It may be recalled here that Balayya personally announced at Amaravati that his 100th film would be based on the history of Gautami Putra Satakarni, the first Telugu king who ruled the entire India. In fact, the legend of the Telugu film industry, the late NT Rama Rao was supposed to play the character but could not do so. When Krishh had approached Balakrishna with this subject, the latter was so impressed and agreed to do the movie. Later, it has come to light that once his father NTR too wanted to play that character and this had made Balayya to take a firm conclusion that he should play the character at any cost and gave the nod to Krishh who made attempts to deep dig and find out the historical background of the king. The film is being presented by Bibo Srinivas and produced by Rajiv Reddy and Saibabu on the banner of First Frame Entertainment, while Devisri Prasad is scoring music. Balakrishna fans from across the two Telugu-speaking states have also attended the programme.
