The versatile Kashmiri actor Anupam Kher will soon celebrate the completion of 25 years of acting career on the silver screen. He has 380 films in his kitty so far. His recent film “A Wednesday” has showcased his thespian caliber.
Kher will host the re-screening, on Sunday, of his debut film “Saransh” made by the legendary Mahesh Bhatt. But the showing of the film is rechristened as a ‘premiere’ because the film’s premiere could not take place 25 years ago because of the Bhiwandi riots. He has invited the film’s director Mahesh Bhatt and co-stars Rohini Hattangadi and Soni Razdan for the premiere.
“Saaransh’ is not just a film but a philosophy of life. Some films are timeless and this film is one of them. Anupam Kher, as a struggling 28 year old actor, made his debut with this film and played the role of a 70-year-old character.
After “Saranash” Anupam was unstoppable since he can play any role with aplomb. Anupam is married to Kirron Kher another top notch actress.
