SCOPUS, a non-profit international institution has ranked the University of Hyderabad (UoH) as the number one varsity in India based on multi-disciplinary bibliographic database on the basis of many indicators including publication quality, citation, impact and overall performance.
The ranking of UoH as first among top 25 universities in India has been given by SCOPUS taking into consideration the papers published during 1999-2008. Delhi University is second in the list.
University of Hyderabad has also got highest rank – A Grade, 97%) -by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
These achievements are the result of the meticulous leadership rendered by Seyed E Hasnain, Vice-chancellor of the University of Hyderabad.
