Two Indian students win World Photography Awards

Two Indian students win World Photography Awards

The photographic works of art by Neal Kartik (Cry of the big cat) and Pranab Kumar Aich (The Midas touch), students of Jamia Milia Islamia university, were adjudged the best by a jury led by Tom Ang in the Student Focus Competition at the Sony World Photography Awards 2009.

With this win, their university will receive 50,000 Euros worth of photographic equipment.

These two winners were among the 12 shortlisted from six continents. They also took part in photography workshops conducted by some of the biggest names of the photography world including Adrian Evans, Tom Ang and Mary-Ellen Mark.
