Hyderabad, July 2 (INN): The Board of Intermediate Education on Tuesday informed the students and parents that fresh application forms of Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships for College and University Students (CSSS) for the current academic year i.e. 2013-14 will be forwarded to all the Junior College in the State within a fortnight.
The Board has asked the students and parents to procure the Aadhaar Number from the concerned in advance, as the last date for submission of Fresh Application forms will be August 15, 2013. Further, since the inception of the Scholarship i.e. from the academic year 2008-09 to 2011-12 the MHRD, New Delhi, transferred the amount into BIE Scholarship Account and in return the BIE credited the amount into the students’ Bank Accounts through IDBI Bank (on-line).
From the academic year 2012-13, the MHRD, New Delhi is directly crediting the amount into students’ Bank Accounts under Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system. In its latest guidelines, it has stated that from now onwards i.e. from the academic year 2013-14 it credits the amounts to only those students who furnish Aadhaar Number and it is Mandatory. It has also made it clear that Aadhaar Number is a must even for 2008-09 Batch renewals from this year onwards.
The students and parents have been asked to procure the Aadhaar Number from the concerned and all the Merit Scholarship Holders i.e. right from the 2008-09 Batch to 2012-13 Batch students’ have to forward their renewal application forms with Aadhaar Number to the Secretary, Board of Intermediate Education, A.P. Hyderabad. Before forwarding the renewal application forms, students’ have to ensure that their Aadhaar Number is seeded / registered in their Bank Account. Students can download the latest Renewal Application Form having Aadhaar Number from the BIE Website www.bieap.gov.in
Students who forward their renewal application forms to the BIE without Aadhaar Number, their data will not be forwarded to MHRD, New Delhi and such students have lose their Scholarship Amount, the BIE said.
