YRF to remake its Hindi films in Tamil and Telugu

Bollywood’s premier production house Yash Raj Films (YRF) has decided to remake its hit Hindi films in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada, with popular South Indian actors.

Aditya Chopra of YRF has appointed Padam Kumar as head of south Indian operations. YRF will also open its offices in Chennai and Hyderabad.

YRF has made many hit films in Hindi like Kabhi Kabhie, Silsila, Chandni, Lamhe, Darr, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Dil ToPagal Hai, Mohabbatein, Hum Tum, Veer- Zaara, Fanna, Dhoom 1 and 2, Chak De India and the latest hits Band Baaja Baarat and Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge.

YRF is short listing its films for remake into South Indian languages and scouting for directors and script writers.
