Yeto Vellipoyindi Manasu Movie Review
Nani, Samantha’s romantic entertainer ‘Yeto Vellipoindi Manasu’ directed by Gautam Menon hit the screens today amidst great expectations. Let us see what magic Gautam Menon and music maesttro Ilayaraja cast on movie lovers.
Varun(Nani) and Nitya(Samantha) are childhood friends who share special bond which makes Varun do things to impress Nitya, which she reciprocates instantly though secretly. Their love hate relationship takes new twist when Varun decides to pursue MBA at IIM, the moment Nitya returns from her pleasure trip to Australia. What is the secret behind Varun’s sudden decision and how Nitya reacts has to be found on silver screen.
Nani performed well in his character that depicted behavior of a person at different stages of his life. Samantha looked gorgeous as a school girl, teenager and grownup woman. She stole the show from rest of the stars. Krishnudu and support cast tried to cheer up the viewers with their action.
Gautam Menon who is regarded as king of romantic love stories once again chose the tried and tested love formula. He tried to highlight how love blossoms between girl and boy and how emotionally charged and disturbed in handling situations when encountered with life’s ground reality at different stages of ages. However the biggest drawback is slow narration of the film which tests the patience of viewers. Gautam seems to have forgotten that aspect in his quest for creativity. His story also lacks twist and turns with monotonous and routine script giving scope for boredom in most of the places.
Production values are good. Anthony’s editing could have been better by miles. Ilayaraja’s music is in sync with the film’s melodrama.MS.Prabhu’s cinematography is OK.
Romantic feel lost in ego clashes
