Yet Another Achievement of Shah Rukh Khan

For his outstanding achievement in the field of cinema and his involvement in philanthropic endeavors, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was awarded with Global Diversity Award 2014.
He was presented the award at a special event organized at the House of Commons last night. The award was given away to the actor by the Speaker of British’s House of Commons, the Rt Hon John Bercow.
Shah Rukh was overwhelmed to get the award and expressed his joy by saying, “This is a special day for me and I am very humbled to receive the award instituted by Rainbow Foundation.”
He said that he has been working for the last 33 years and he have got lot more than he deserved. He added that his first visit to England was when he was 27 in connection to his first film ‘Baazigar’.
Shah Rukh said that the award will inspire him to work more for the neglected community.
Rt Hon Keith Vaz, who is the founder of the Rainbow Foundation, praised the actor by saying that he is one of the most famous actors on planet earth.
Earlier the award was conferred to Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina, American civil rights leader Jesse Jackson, Formula One racer Leiws Hamilton, Jackie Chan, music legend Dionne Warwick.
