Vishal's next film based on Ruskin Bond's novel again

Film director, writer, poet, screenwriter, music composer and playback singer Vishal Bhardwaj has a fascination for Ruskin Bond. He made the film The Blue Umbrella based on Ruskin’s children’s story. His latest film 7 Khoon Maaf is also based on the author’s short story Susanna’s Seven Husbands. In fact, Bond has written a full script for the film expanding his short story.

Now, Vishal Bhardwaj announced that his next film will also be an adaptation of another Ruskin Bond’s novel. He refused to divulge the title of the novel and says the script is ready and the casting is being done. The film will go on floors soon.

This year Vishal Bhardwaj will also direct the screen adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s Two States with Shah Rukh Khan in the lead. He is also planning to adapt Shakespeare’s tragedy Hamlet into a film with Hrithik Roshan in the lead. Earlier, he adated Shakespeare’s Othello as Omkara.

The director is also considering adapting another Indian novel Sharad Joshi’s Mudrika Rahasya.
