Actor Venkatesh is in a dilemma. Having joined the 40s club, and many GenX actors breathing down his neck for lead roles, he feels it’s time to experiment with roles and move to another level, like Bollywood star Aamir Khan, reports Deccan Chronicle. The article went like this..
Venkatesh is seriously thinking of establishing his own production house to churn out path-breaking movies, such as Taare Zameen Par and Castaway because big brother Suresh Babu is not ready to take the risk. He feels Venkatesh should play it safe and not gamble with his stardom as the money involved in film production is huge.
They are the closest of siblings, and there is no doubting that, but the duo are having creative differences about the path to be taken by the middle-aged star. “Venkatesh is determined to chalk his own path and if necessary, could even set up a separate production house, next year, to explore different roles and themes,” says a source.
He needs to traverse the less travelled path and set a precedent to show that Tollywood superstars are game for challenging roles and age is just a number.
