Udayanidhi Stalin, grandson of DMK chief Karunanidhi, began his career in films as a producer and then turned actor with the Tamil film Oru Kaal Oru Kannadi, which is now dubbed into Telugu with the title OkOk.
The film is produced by Stalin himself under the banner of Red Giant Movies and directed by M Rajesh. The female lead is played by Hansika while Sayaji Shinde and Santhanam play important roles. Music for the film has been scored by Harris Jayaraj.
The Tamil film released in April received good appreciation and Stalin decided to bring out the Telugu version as he feels that there is a market in Andhra Pradesh for dubbed Tamil films that have some novelty in narration. He is also planning to act and produce in the Tamil remakes of 100% Love and Maryada Ramanna.
OkOk is a romantic comedy and is likely to release in September.
