After the pioneering effort by actor Amala, wife of Nagarjuna, to take kind care of stray dogs, it is the turn of Trisha to do the same. Marking her Bollywood debut with Akshay Kumar starrer “Khatta Meetha”, has been chosen as the goodwill ambassador of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and is supporting the campaign for adoption of Indian stray dogs.
Trisha has dedicated this campaign to her dog Cadbury whom she adopted on the sets of one of her films in Hyderabad. Trisha urges people to not buy but adopt Indian dogs. “I am honoured to endorse something I truly feel for and believe in. This is for my darling son CADBURY. Please consider adopting an Indian dog and making a difference,” requests Trisha.
