Bollywood divas Vidya Balan, Deepika , Shraddha Kapoor and Kriti Sanon talked about their plans of celebrating Holi and gave tips to celebrate the festival without causing harm to one’s skin and hair.
Vidya Balan says she will play Holi with her friends this year. She says that she remembers the time when she used to fill balloons with her father. She said, “My fondest memory is that of my father filling balloons with water early in the morning. We’d go up to the terrace and throw balloons at each other.”
Vidya said that her favorite Holi song is ‘Rang barse’ and ‘Ab ke Saawan’, she said, “Before Holi I make it a point to oil religiously and protect my hair from the colours and the dust. Even for skin I apply oil so that there are less chances of the colour staying back on my skin.”
Deepika also uses coconut-based oil for protecting herself against dust and colors. She said, “I usually massage my hair with coconut-based hair oil. It not only protects my hair from the harsh colours and chemicals but also provides nourishment. For my skin, I moisturise well and use sun screen before I set out to play Holi. This helps me in removing the colour from my skin more easily and protection from the sun. Holi is Deepika’s favorite festival but now due to work it has become a working holi. She said, “I am shooting for Tamasha and Bajirao Mastani so we may play Holi on the sets. This year will be a working Holi for me.” About her favorite Holi song she said, “I know they are my own songs but I have to admit that Balam pichkari and Lahu muh lag gayaare my current favourite.”
