The audiences of 1990s can’t forget the blockbuster of Balakrishna titled ‘Aditya 369’ which is an out and out entertainer with a touch of science and fantasy. In that film, Balakrishna sported the role of Sri Krishnadevaraya. The character perfectly suited to him and everyone thought that Balayya is the true heir of NTR’s clan. Later, Balakrishna became the MLA from Hindupur constituency. In order to highlight the greatness of Rayalaseema, Balakrishna mooted to celebrate the ‘Lepakshi Festival’ on a grand scale on the lines of ‘Beach Festival’ being held in Kakinada every year. The government also gave a positive response and the ‘Lepakshi Festival’ is slated to be held on February 27 and 28. It is learnt that Balakrishna is planning to don the same avatar on these two days in the festival to be held at Hindupur. One more interesting point to note here is that Balakrishna had recently announced that he is planning to play in a sequel with the title ‘Aditya 399’ in the direction of ‘Aditya 369’ director Singeetham Srinivasa Rao.
