Most of the heroes of Tollywood like Mahesh Babu, Prabhas, Allu Arjun and NTR Jr are all appearing to take a well earned rest. However, according to Film Nagar sources, most of them are awaiting the arrival of auspicious days to start shooting.
Mahesh Babu has not acted in a film after Athidi, which bombed at the box office. The story for his next film is ready, but he would start shooting only after his birthday on August 9.
Allu Arjun, whose Parugu has seen reasonable success, will shoot for Arya 2 in August, after the onset of Sravanamasam.
The film Bujjigadu from Chennai, starring Prabhas and directed by Puri Jagannath, too did not do well on the screens. The actor’s next film Raju starts shooting after Moodham.
NTR Jr, whose last film Kantri did not come up to the expectations of the audience. His next film to be directed by VV Vinayak will also go to the floors in August.
The entire Telugu film industry seems to be banking on astrologically depicted auspicious days for their films to start to ensure hits at the box office. They are forgetting a simple rule that it is always a good story that makes a film successful at the box office. Even the most auspicious muhurts cannot guarantee any success to any film, whose story and screenplay are badly written.
