Tollywood new releases on New Year’s Day
The film world the world over has a tradition of releasing new films just a day or two before the weekend. Since the New Year’s Day, happens to fall within the acknowledged norms of new releases, three films hit the screen on January1, 2009.
After Chandamama, ace director Krishnavamsi is coming out with the film Shashirekha Parinayam, starring Genelia and Tarun. This film belongs to the genre of Road Romance like Raj Kapoor’s Chori Chori, Gregory Peck’s Roman Holiday, Frank Capra’s It happened One Night, Mahesh Bhatt’s Dil Hai Ki Mantha Nahin and Imtiaz Ali’s Jab WE Met.
Sashirekha Parinayam is a Family Chiller.
Harsha Reddy of Geo Media Arts is producing and directing the film Indumathi starring Sivaji, Shweta Bharadwaj, Vijay, Raghu Babu and Harshavardhan. Several characters keep dying in the film and every time, Indumathi appears in front of them before dying. Who is Indumathi? Why are people dying?
Indumathi is a Suspense Thriller.
Maverick writer-director Posani Krishna Murali is coming out with the film titled Mental Krishna after his Operation Duryodhana. The film has Posani Krishna Murali and Sathya Krishnana in the lead roles. The film is said to have got into trouble with the censor board because of several objectionable scenes and dialogues. After reshoots, the film is approved by the Censors for release. Posani plays a sadist and the film is reported to be a satire on the present social system.
Mental Krishna is a Social Horror.
Shubham releasing on Sankranthi
The film titled Shubham with the tag line The Good Beginning stars Vikas and Sangeetha Kapoor in the lead roles. Nagababu plays a pivotal role in this film.
Shubham is being produced by CR Mohan under the banner of Mohana Shruthi Creations and directed by Sivaprasada Reddy G. The dialogues have been written by Ravi Kolikapudi and the lyrics by Bhaskarabhatla.
Shubham touted as a youthful family entertainer is scheduled for release on Sankranthi Day. This film will clash with MS Raju’s Siddharth starrer Koncham Ishtam Koncham Kashtam.
