Tollywood director KB Tilak dies

Veteran director-producer KB Tilak is no more. The 84 year old director was admitted to KIMS hospital where he breathed his las on September 23. He introduced popular singer S Janaki who made her singing debut with MLA (1957). He introduced Jayaprada in a small role in his film Bhumikosam.
He is nephew of legendary film personality LV Prasad. His films were socially relevant and exposed corrupt practices. Born in West Godavari district, Tilak participated in freedom movement from 1939. He was jailed in 1942 during the quit India movement.
