TN Cable Operators Warns Kamal On ‘Viswaroopam’ Screening
Kamal Hasan’s prestigious project ‘Viswaroopam’ is plunging in controversy thanks to his unique plans of screening the film on DTH across the nation simultaneously with the release of the film. The film slated for grand release on jan 11th across the world, is making news for all wrong reasons.
Tamil Nadu Cable TV operators Association has warned actor-director-producer Kamal Hassan that if he shows his latest movie Viswaroopam through DTH then they would show the movie free of cost to the audiences.
Kamal earlier planned to screen the film through DTH by charging Rs 1000. While Kamal is of the opinion that theater owners won’t be at loss as he is targeting only affluent section of movie lovers who wish to enjoy watching film in house, theater owners think other wise.
In a press statement Tamil Nadu Cable TV Operators Association President Kayal R.S.Elavarasu said that some producers are making false propaganda to make their movies successful and Kamal Hassan’s ‘Viswaroopam’ is one among them. He said it is not true that the movie cannot be downloaded and challenged Kamal Hassan that he would show him by downloading the movie.
