Throughout the film, we sense the director’s immense affection for the original Zanjeer, a reverence that never clouds his judgment. This is one remake that stands tall and lithe. It is manned by a manful supply of action and yet manages to keep the machismo understated. Breakneck-paced, adrenaline-pumping, pulse-pounding
Gururaj’s cinematography is just about ok. Editing is not up to the mark. Except for one or two sequences, re-recording is strictly average. A more capable music director would have really helped the film. Telugu dialogues are just about ok.
Apoorva Lakhia has succeeded in maintaining good pace throughout the film. But he should have infused more humour and entertainment into the proceedings. He scores passing marks as a director
Toofan is a trash film.
