Yash Raj Films is back with Thoda Pyar, Thoda Magic and let us hope some magic rubs off on them as well. Their past few efforts like Tashan, Krazzy 4, Laaga Chunari Main Daag and Aaja Nachle didn’t manage to live up to the hype. This time, they’ve been cautious enough to cast the stars of their blockbuster Hum Tum — Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji.
Rani, who plays an angel, says, “Films always have a lot of fiction. We accept Superman and Spiderman. In Bollywood, we have our own Mr India. Thoda Pyar… is an attempt like that.” Saif says, “The concept is new here, but it’s not weird. In India, apart from Mr India, we hardly have any light-hearted entertainer with scoops of magic. This film is the kind that both, kids and parents, will enjoy.”
Yash Raj’s earlier ventures, Tara Rum Pum and Laaga Chunari Main Daag, didn’t go down well with viewers despite Rani’s exemplary acting. Rani, Saif and a bunch of kids: Sounds similar to Tara Rum Pum. However, both lead actors come to the defence of their latest film. Both say, “While Tara Rum Pum was about one family, in Thoda Pyar…, nobody is related to anybody.”
