Bollywood is abuzz that TIPS Taurani has offered a remuneration of Rs 100 crores to act in his film. However, the TIPS chief did not confirm the fee part of it, but said he already had a signed contract with Salman Khan to produce a film in 2013. The producer recently met the actor at the latter’s residence.
After Ek Tha Tiger grossed Rs 150 crores at the box office in just 8 days and still counting, Bollywood producers are queueing up in front of Salman Khan’s house to meet the actor. They include Vijay Galani, UTV-Disney, Studio 18, Sajid Nadiadwala, Sooraj Barjatya, Rajkumar Santoshi, Subhash Ghai, Yash Chopra, Farhan Akhtar, Farah Khan and Karan Johar.
Salman’s last three films were in the 100-crore-club: Dabangg (Rs 145 crore), Ready (Rs 124 crore) and Bodyguard (Rs 149 crore). These are net collections from box office and do not include revenue from satellite, music, home video and remake rights.
Observers say that Salman has become a phenomenon and the news of Rs 100 crore remuneration to him is quite believable and possible.
