New York, Sep 17, Singer Susan Boyle’s dream of singing in front of the Pope came true after she marked the end of his open-air mass in Scotland Thursday.
People.com reports that around 65,000 people attended the ceremony in Bellahouston Park. Boyle performed three songs as part of a special mass to celebrate Pope Benedict XVI’s visit to Scotland.
Dressed in a long black coat and black heels, Boyle sang “I Dreamed a Dream” and hymn “How Great Thou Art”. Some of the people were so inspired that they also sang along with her.
“It’s something I’ve always dreamed of, it’s something I’ve always wanted to do, and here I am, finally getting the chance,” said Boyle.
