Surveen Accused Southern Industry of Having Casting Couch
Surveen Chawla came into limelight with her film ‘Hate Story 2’ in which she played a sexy role and seduced the audiences by wearing bikini and performing bedroom scenes. She claimed that there is casting couch active in the Southern film industry. She also worked in the film ‘Singh Vs Kaur’ which is produced by experienced producer D Ramanaidu.
Surveen said remembering the days before she got a break in the B-town, “When I’m working in South, a casting agent asked me that his ‘Sir’ wants to have relationship with me for the duration of the film to understand the role better. That director is one of top National Award winning filmmakers, and indirectly it is a hint that I need to sleep with him. I told the casting manager that he couldn’t force me to sleep and that shut his mouth. Such things didn’t happen for me in Mumbai.”
Surveen has worked in many Telugu and Tamil films till now so it is unclear which Southern industry she referred to in her statement. It was earlier said by many actresses that casting couch exists in Bollywood but not in South but Surveen talking about its existence in Southern industry is a shock to us.
