Superstar Rajinikanth who is busy with his upcoming film ‘Lingaa’ is to be honored with the Centenary Award for Indian Film Personality of year 2014, by Union Government of India at the 45th International Film Festival of India [IFFI].
Minister of State Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, announced that Star Of The Millennium Legendry Amitabh Bachchan will be the chief guest at the opening ceremony of IFFI and Superstar Rajinikanth will be conferred with the award.
The IFFI for the year 2014 will be held from 20-30th of November at Goa. 179 films from 75 countries will be screened at IFFI, including World Cinema (61 films), Festival Kaleidoscope (20 films), Masterstrokes (11 films), Documentaries (6 films), Soul of Asia (7 films) and Animated Films (6 films). While the Indian Panorama section will showcase 41 feature and non-feature films.
