Telangana activists disrupted the shooting of “Maryada Ramanna” at Vikarabad railway station in Ranga Reddy district on Tuesday. The film stars comedian Sunil in the lead role and directed by double hat-trick director SS Rajamouli whose last film “Magadheera” was a runaway hit at the box office.
While shooting was in progress at the railway station, Telangana activists stormed the spot raising ‘Jai Telangana’ slogans. The film unit decided to pack up following the disruption. The entire unit returned to Hyderabad.
The film was launched in June last year but its shooting schedules went haywire during the last two of months of 2009 because of the separate Telangana agitation.
