Subrat Dutta wins Best Actor Award at Cairo Film Fest

Subrat Dutta won the best actor award at the 33rd Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF) for his performance in “Madholal Keep Walking” directed by documentary filmmaker Jai Tank.

The film deals with the daily life of a Mumbai-based common man Madholal Dubey (played by Subrat Dutta) who has ordinary dreams and the daily bread challenges.

At the Asian Film Festival in Singapore, “Madholal Keep Walking” was nominated in three categories – best film, best producer and best director. It will also compete at the Third Eye Asian Film Festival to be held in Mumbai in December.

Anil Kapoor, Irrfan Khan and Celina Jaitley were honoured at the CIFF which was held from November 10 to 20.
