Slumdog Danny Boyle to direct next Bond film
The film Slumdog Millionaire changed the fate of its director Danny Boyle. Not only did he get the Oscar for Best Direction, the film bagged seven other Oscars.
Now every top production house is after Danny. He is now offered to direct the next James Bond film.
Barbara Broccoli, who currently heads the 007 franchise at EON Productions, is said to be in talks with Danny Boyle to direct the 23rd Bond film with Daniel Craig playing Bond again. With the Bond films now laying emphasis on the characters and plot rather than gags and gadgets, Barbara thinks that Boyle is the right man for the project.
Danny Boyle earlier made films like Shallow Grave, Trainspotting and 28 Days Later.
