Siddharth as Ramanujan in Hollywood film
Siddharth has been signed up to play the role of Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan in a Hollywood bio-pic titled the The First Class Man.
Ramanujan, 1887-1920, the self taught Indian genius who from humble beginnings in rural India originated brilliant theories of mathematical prime numbers. The film tells the story of the mathematicians Ramanujan and G H Hardy. It’s set in South India, Cambridge, and London during the First World War.
The First Class Man is written by David Freeman and produced by Malcolm Craddock. It will be directed by Roger Spottiswoode who earlier made Tomorrow Never Dies.
