Prabhu Dheva is directing the Hindi remake of Telugu film Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana which is incidentally the director’s debut film. TIPS chief Kumar Taurani bought the Hindi remake rights from MS Raju and his son Krish will be launched through this film reprising the role played by siddharth in the original. Shruti Haasan will play the female lead.
Shruti hopes that this Hindi remake, yet to be titled, will relaunch her in Bollywood. Earlier she made her debut with Soham Shah’s Luck and then acted in the film Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji, but both the films bombed at the box office. However, she is having a good run in Tollywood with Oh My Friend being a hit and Gabbar Singh becoming a super hit.
With Wanted and Rowdy Rathore, Prabhu Dheva has two films in the exclusive 100-crore-club and appears to be comfortable directing the remakes of South films. He is now the most sought after director in Bollywood.
The Kumar Taurani film will go on floors shortly.
