Shiv Sena warns Bollywood against hiring Pakistan artistes
Maharashtra Cinema Television Sena (MCTS), a frontal organisation of the Shiv Sena, has warned all Bollywood filmmakers, production houses, organisers, event managers and media houses, against hiring Pakistan actors, singers and musicians.
The warning is issued in the wake of the arrest of Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan who was unauthorisedly carrying with him currency to the extent of $ 1.24.
Shiv Sena threatens to target filmmakers who hire Pakistan artistes.
Mahesh Bhatt deplored the Shiv Sena encroaching upon the field of arts and culture and asked them to confine themselves to politics. He described the Sena warning as trampling on the individual liberty. Bhatt was the first filmmaker who hired Pakistan artistes.
