Shashi Tharoor to debut in Salman’s Ek Tha Tiger?
Shashi Tharoor, former minister of state for External Affairs, Government of India, is on the verge of making his screen debut in Bollywood.
According to sources, he has been approached by top honchos of Yash Raj Films to play a cameo in their upcoming film Ek Tha Tiger starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. As per the script demands, a scene in USA with United Nations officials has to be shot. To get authenticity to the episode, director Kabir Khan wanted to cast Shashi Tharoor, who was UN under secretary general before he entered Indian political scene.
Shashi Tharoor, author and diplomat, had to resign from the Union Cabinet after allegations of influencing IPL T20 auctions. He continues to be the Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) from the Thiruvananthapuram constituency in Kerala.
Tharoor has twin sons Ishaan and Kanishk from his first marriage to Tilottama Mukherji. Later he was married to Christa, a Canadian working at the United Nations. After divorcing his second wife, Tharoor married Sunanda Pushkar, who had a stake in IPL Kochi Team.
